About me
Hi, I'm Gediminas Zdanys, a freelance 3D artist based in Kaunas, Lithuania. I primarily work remotely with clients worldwide, but I am always available for on-site visits when project requirements demand it.
I hold a higher education degree in 3D graphics and design and possess approximately 15 years of professional experience. Currently, I specialize in creating photorealistic industrial automation visualizations (including robotic cells) and animations. I have a strong understanding of technical processes and excel at presenting them clearly and visually appealingly to clients, helping them understand complex engineering solutions before physical production begins.
Technical Skills
3D Modeling and CAD Integration: Blender 3D (Cycles, Eevee), SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Onshape, FreeCAD. Ability to convert and prepare engineering models (e.g., via STL) for the visualization pipeline.
Animation and Rigging: Developing kinematics for industrial robots (rigging), animating complex mechanism movements, and simulating technical processes.
Automation: Writing custom Python scripts within the Blender environment (e.g., for robot control and automating technical tasks).
Post-production: Utilizing Blender's Cycles and Eevee shader systems for creating photorealistic lighting and materials.
